Just Do Good Work

I have blog procrastination. I have it bad. I now have a title for my blog – thanks to my friend Mary Lou who told me today that she just wants to do good deeds and having to work for a living gets in her way – but, still I stopped before commencing to write and ‘shopped’ my font files to pick just the right one that would please me while I was composing. Of course, I know that when I copy and paste the file to the actual virtual home of the blog, fonts don’t matter. So, now with title and font issues settled, do I have anything to say?

I do. I’m scared silly to say some of it for any audience but, how do we know if a thing is worth doing unless we try? I want to think, write, share ideas and maybe commiserate a little and change a little about the state of education today. I work in a high school as a librarian. My main work is books and technology, so, much of this blog will be about… you guessed it, books and technology and kids and teaching and information and ideas and my work. Is any of what I have to say important or life changing? Who knows?

I don’t know. So, I will try to just do good work.

Why blog? It is the first question. Will it change anything? Will it help anyone? Will it give me any professional satisfaction to order my thoughts about my work? Will it inspire? Will it comfort? Will it matter?
